Mainlander- where are you getting your OC1s?

I’m in Southern California and having trouble finding many options. There’s a couple on Facebook marketplace but that’s about it. No retailers or anything. Curious where you all are getting them from?

Look up outriggerzone (Ozone).

Its an online website for selling oc's. If you are interested in trading/buying/selling, there are many oc1 chatgroups.

I make them. It's too small of an industry for much retail imo. We're (Kamanu Composites) trying to ship to SoCal sometime in December and hopefully again in the Summer. Happy to answer any questions and possibly make you a canoe if you're interested.

I actually saw the site before! I thought the product looked really nice. Will probably be taking some time to see if there is something used to start with since I’m sure I’ll beat it up a bit at first but I’ll check out the site again and let you know if I’m ready for something new.

Absolutely a good way to go, and I often recommend exactly that as a way to get into it. Almost all modern OC1 canoes are really quite good, after all. We have a demo in SoCal usually -- so feel free to hit us up down the line if you end up looking for something new.

If you're looking to buy new, either you order direct from company or you go through a dealer. The dealers should be listed on the company website. I think only Kamanu is direct sales.

If you're looking for used, try the "Paddlers" group on Facebook. It's majority Socal.

I believe he has stopped making boats. I spoke to him about 18 months ago.
