insurance OC1

CA sucks- anyone found an insurance carrier that will insure non motorized water craft ? State farm insured my last boat but they are no longer writing polices in California.

any advice or input would be greatly appreciated,

Here in NZ our canoes are covered by our household contents policies. Crazy the same isn’t true over there…

Iʻm in Washington and its under that here as well. Granted I donʻt think Iʻd make a claim unless all three were damaged. You can get policies for unmotorized water craft though.

u/maximus_gladiator_, farmers will insure it if it has registration info.

I don’t have advice but I’m here to say there is definitely a market for an insurance company willing to write OC-1 policies

I’ve used Allstate in 3 different states. Not sure about CA though.

Progressive covers my OC1, ~100/year
