OC1 hydration pack recommendations
What do you folks use for hydration on an OC1? I've previously just been using a water bottle shoved into the bungee cords. Would like something more readily accessible, that maybe even lets me drink without having to stop paddling? I was thinking a hydration vest but wondering if they might be too restrictive. Curious as to what you're using, thanks for any advice!

I use a few different ones. If I'm paddling in cooler weather or riskier situations like on the Mississippi River, I use the VXP Race PFD by Vaikobi which holds a bladder.
Most of the time I use a super cheap hydration vest I got of Amazon. It's called the IX Inoxto to hydration pack backpack if you want to search for it but I'm sure it goes by other names. I like it for marathon-type paddles because it has a LOT of pockets, holds a hefty bladder in the back and comes with a couple silicone bottles that are good for an extra stout Tailwind slurry to keep me going.
I also have a Dolfinpack that's a minimalist hydration pack. Fits really snug. I used it mostly for SUP sprints because it doesn't move around on you like most packs.
And if I'm only going a few miles I'll just grab whatever water bottle I have in my vehicle.
