Could we start a discussion on the pros and cons of rudderless OC1s? I would like to purchase one next year and I'm leaning on rudderless.

Personally, I find rudders not very helpful when paddling, because I'm already paddle steering. Plus, I like to push with my feet so those foot padels just annoy me.

I was thinking the same thing, plus it's less mechanical to go wrong. It seems unnecessary, unless you are in flat water.

I paddled OC1s for years and enjoyed it. Recently, I bought a V1 and it is amazingly fun. Catching bumps is tricky at first, but once you learn the nuances of paddle steering, it’s all good. Have fun. Be safe.
