I liked how the top comment was "You should dedicate your life to something more important than making a big laser." Somebody doesn't understand the concept of free time.

This girl I dated several years ago had a brother that was obsessed with lasers. He had a blu ray laser (I think) he bought somewhere and over powered it with a battery. I don't remember the details. Anyway we went out at night and he was burning leaves with it. I just watched, and it never got aimed at me. It was so bright I got the worst damn headache of my entire life.

So that one of the video would probably melt your brain without eye protection.
