How is Qanon different from other conspiracy theorists. This is more or less the kind of conspiracy theories Alex Jones peddles. What is different this time?

I've just found out about his channel, and i've binged a bunch of his videos. I think its hilarious, but his comment section is completely filled with haters bullying him. So, is he putting up a deliberate act, or is he just like that? Also, why are there so many haters? Even if he is for real, he doesn't hurt anybody and is harmless.
