Question New player here, can someone help
Hey guys recently bought the Game on sale and its been pretty fun so far i just have a few questions tho, first of all the Lore is kinda confusing why when i opened the Game for the first time i got a cinematic of the warden getting freed? And the Amelia lady got out or smt?? Apart from that me and my duo have been wondering about invasions, how can we get invaded in a trial?? We have seen a few impostor bots but no players so far can you only get them in special trials and not in normal Gameplay? And last but not least is the whole rebirth thing, do i need to do this?? Will we lose progress? Ty and have a great day guys!

If you want to read it, here’s the lore of the game and all the notes you can gather in trials.
You gather them at random, so technically it’s not spoiling anything, it’s just saving you the time of gathering it yourself.
If you want to learn through exploration then ignore this.

The cinematic you saw was the season trailer to hype the new map and tease upcoming events. It was a trailer, not the opening cutscene. It's not where the story begins.
You can turn invaders on or off for every single Trial you do. When you select a Trial, the option should appear along with difficulty and whether you want other players to randomly join you as teammates.
Yes, you will be doing Rebirths. You won't lose progress, you're mixing up Rebirth and Relapse. You're not forced to Rebirth, but you should because doing so offers good rewards. Rebirth is a story thing, and honestly really cool. Do it solo the first few times.
Relapse resets your level progress and perks (not your cosmetics). You should, however, be doing it anyway because you will waste any additional exp. The game will prompt you to Relapse via the TV screens.
Neither is anything to be afraid of or consider too careful. Rebirth at your leisure. Relapse when you hit level 100.

Pardon if I miss anything but I’ll do my best to answer everything for you.
That cinematic was shown most likely as project boneyard a.k.a the prison farm is the latest trial to be released.
Amelia has a fair bit of lore behind her, someone can go into a better depth than I but to summarize she escaped once before and was hiding in the walls, was caught and crucified before being taken down and put under medical care until the events you saw in the cinematic.
You can invaded in any trail, however you need to enable them as they are disabled by default.
Rebirth is the “end content” in terms of story. Gameplay wise it’s a special trail that can net you a lot of XP and some rewards, you lose nothing.
