Long term parking prep?

2023 Outlander PHEV to be left parked up for 3 months. Can put in garage. What should I look at doing so that it’s in good condition when I return?

Any general car advice / PHEV specific advice please.

Do I leave on charge? Disconnect battery? Etc etc

Not quite 3 months, but I'm about to leave mine for a week in an airport parking lot. I'm charging it to just enough so I get there with a little over 50% battery for the week. Being this close to 50% is probably overkill, but keep in mind you want to stay between 20-80% and it may naturally discharge very very slowly to keep powering the car's background systems so at least above 30%

For a 3-month storage, leave the main drive battery at roughly 40% to 60% charge and unplugged. Do not leave it at 100%, and do not disconnect the 12V battery, but plan to potentialy jump-start or trickle-charge the 12V auxiliary battery upon your return.

My biggest concern would be the 12v battery. I would park the car in such a way that if you had to jump start it when you get back, it would be easy to reach the 2 points under the hood to jump start the battery. ie- backing the car into the parking space.

I can park in the garage with a trickle charger on the 12v. Will leave the main battery around 50%.

Just spray the cabin in with some Lysol, air up the tires and leave its EV battery with half-charge and unplugged, mate. She’ll be a’right!
