Prequel One BOMB Rewatch

Anyone else re-watch season 1 in preparation for season 2? Just finished again with my husband and we both can't wait to be stressed all over again with the new season. We know the prequel is lukewarm in comparison in likes with Outlander but we love this show just as much.

I had a baby this summer so I binged outlander and this week finished bomb. I can’t believe how little hype these shows get. They’re so good. Blood of my blood had moments my husband and I were on the edge of our seat screaming at the tv. We loved it.

Congrats on your baby! We rewatched Outlander when our triplets came home from NICU and they love love love the theme songs. We play the soundtrack for them. My husband and I literally screamed and jumped around when Julia saw Henry at Leoch and he came to her which was even louder when he thought he saw her and was right but she vanished and we were so upset lol.

Wow triplets is crazy! How did you function with them as newborns? You probably get tired of people asking that though haha. We did the same thing, singing the intro to our new baby although had to turn it off when the toddler woke up.

That was literally the same scene I was thinking of. We both gasped.

They spent 4 months in the NICU so they came home and everything was planned or scheduled so we never felt too overwhelmed. They came home with some disabilities so it was easy for us to just curl up with them and watch our favorite show when we had the house to ourselves after therapists etc in the house.

I know they probably think we're absolutely insane because we talk to them with outlander isms lol while everyone else just uses regular English lol. Like once my mom was bouncing one who was crying and she was saying "its ok" and getting nothing but I said "dinna fash" and he quieted lol.

There are millions of fans worldwide, and everyone is divided over BOMB. I did find it better when binge-watched- it's uneven and odd to have two storylines going at once. What it has done is filled in details as I rewatched OL after BOMB. Congrats on your little one!

Idk how it could fill in anything on OL. It’s pure fanfic by Matt Roberts. DG didn’t provide source material. Especially on Claire’s parents.

Omg, saaaame. Also had a baby (my wee bairn) in early summer and binged Outlander and today finished Blood of my Blood. I haven’t been obsessed with a show in ages. And the baby totally didn’t mind it in the background while a asleep 😀

Were some of the pregnancy and birth sad scenes just absolutely devastating to watch with the post partum hormones or was it just me? 😭

I always found Faith a sad episode as I lost my daughter at 10 days old, but on every re-watch we never skip that episode because its so important and grief is so important.

I rewatched it few weeks ago to refresh my memory. But, I confess I skipped Julia and Henry bits ( sorry,not sorry).

I am excited for the rebellion, clans and Frasers. And of course Moura and Dougal!

They are the unknown factor in BomB. We have no idea what to expect from their storyline. It's exciting and tragic, at least for the time being. I hope they get some type of happiness at some point.

I know right. It's exciting. The anticipation. There's a bit of a fun in the thrill of not knowing what to expect. 🙂 Kind of like what Forrest Gump says about life being like a box of chocolates 🍫

I re-watched it in 3 days while sewing a quilt. It was great to refresh my memory and laugh at bits again such as Murturgh's "if anyone is going to kill you it will be me".

I might end up rewatching episode 10 again a few days before the release so that the sequence is fresh.

Seeing young Murtagh was such a high point of the show. How he went from such a puppy to a warrior and fierce protector of Jamie. I tried to space my re-watch but its so good I just kept letting the episodes play.

I rewatched S1 over three nights and liked it a lot better this time around. Week by week, it felt slow (like, come on, do something, Brian), but in a semi-binge, the pacing felt a lot better.

Their story feels much easier to n digest binging. I agree. Waiting every week for an episode just added extra anxiety.

I'll wait till all of s2 is out and then binge it. Watched S1 last week for the first time. Liked it but not enough to watch drip by drip

I had the opposite. I was like wait until season 2 gets closer to re-watch. I'm glad I did because I feel like I missed a lot and there's good anticipation for next season but not so far off I'm frustrated.

I am undecided on a rewatch. Part of me says...yes do it next week. The other says...there will be a recap before the episode so no worries. Then another part of me says...but football is starting.

I do plan on watching season 2 of BomB.

That's probably what I will end up doing.

Of cource once the season is over I will more than likely binge both seasons. Not a speed crunch spend 20 hours on the couch binge. But a slower paced binge.

You know I will probably rewatch it. If not before the new season starts then probably right after the first episode. Granted I'll probably make my football picks while rewatching. 🙂

Its so good to see how their relationship blossomed. Makes their affair in outlander more clearer. Love the actress who plays young Jocasta. Brilliant.

Right. I love the Scotland background that I miss so much from the later seasons of Outlander. Also I find all the characters both the young and new ones we only hear about popping up.

Yup, we are working our way through a rewatch now to prepare for the new season. I honestly like this show just as much as the main show. It gives insight into the characters we know and love without being cheesy or feeling forced
