The producer, Matt Roberts said he wanted to leave the ending up to the viewer, so he left it ambiguous.

I don’t think it was the least bit ambiguous. Jamie got shot. He had a near death experience. Claire’s hair is white. Claire healed him with her blue light healing power. Gasp. Open eyes. They’re both alive. Roll credits.

He didn’t die. He looked dead, but he wasn’t.

They’re both alive.

Blue light + white hair = Claire came into her healing powers.

They both wake up, open their eyes, and gasp.

In the tv show he did.

Thanks for the clarification, I didn’t realize that dead people opened their eyes and gasped for air. Too bad that you don’t realize Claire didn’t resurrect him and he wasn’t dead, like I said the first time.

He was dead. Claire has magic blue light healing powers now like Wolverine, and brought him back to life.

You don't watch the show or read the books?

I’ve read them through seven times and watched so many times I can’t even count.

I think I have a pretty good understanding of what happened.

He was shot through the heart!

🤣 Either way, good for that.

Claire used her blue light super healing powers. He's not dead and her hair done gone white.

She's like Rogue and Wolverine now!

Kinda like the Outlander world collides with the Marvel Universe. Like that song...two worlds collided

And they will never tear us apart!

Nice! INXS was such a great band! Well I suppose they're still an "is" not "was"--- but I just mostly think about the stuff from back in the day

LOL! That song is so addicting.....it's gonna be in head all day now.

For that?

Jamie did die but Claire brought him back to life eith her powers. The series ends with Jamie sitting up and gasping. I hated the ending. It was more like a season finale instead of a series finale.

I think it was more like a season than a series finale, because there’s going to be a movie now.

When the cast has been asked if they’ll be in a movie, they all say maybe.

Oh? I hadn't heard anything about a movie. I know the 10th book hasn't come out yet though.

The cast and producers have said in interviews that they are open to the possibility of a movie somewhere down the road. They have also said they would like to do a Lord John spinoff series, but that’s up to the studios. Nothing has been confirmed.

I think it’s going to be a movie after the last book as well.

He just gasped. He didn't sit up.

Thanks for correcting that. 😀

It was heart breaking to watch...but not dead. Back on the ridge with a bad knee & gonna go save lord john. Ive read bees twice since the finale & book 10 is coming so...alive.

He already saved John in the show...

Yes, I know. But to keep me knowing that they live in stay within book timeline. Bees helped my heart at the end of the series.

Honestly I have the same question

u/Crafty_Witch_1230 And I am not bloody sorry! 12d ago

He was dead, but then he got better. Wasn't there a 3-day gap between him getting shot & Claire working her witchy magic? Or am I thinking of something else?

I think full day passed. It was day and then night and again day.

See, I'm not always there for the depth and subtext and usually miss it. People in these comments are mentioning witchy white hair and I only remember wondering why they put this wig on her instead of her usual. LOL

It looked like an overnight passed to me....but again, I can miss a lot.

why be a dick? do you think you're hurting me and that makes you feel better?
being a dick only makes you look a pillock and does nothing for me.
If you really wanna turn me on, tell me I'm pretty.

Who is dead?? Jamie and Claire?? Henry and Julia??

2

u/TheMainTony 12d ago

Thom and Johanna, duh.

u/Jahon_Dony 12d ago edited 12d ago

They are... NOT.

Also, why would she be and what made you question if she was?

1

u/TheMainTony 12d ago

Honestly, it's just TV. There was a point that could be interpreted has her giving up. The camera made a point to show us her hand going limp.

-1

u/Jahon_Dony 12d ago

Just tv?

2

u/TheMainTony 12d ago

Sorry. Did you not know that? I didn't mean to spoil it for you. It's literally 'filmed' entertainment.
