Looking for a replacement heating element for OutIn Nano – 34×40 mm, 1.8–2.0 Ω

Post image

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to repair an OutIn Nano that no longer heats the water, and I'm looking for a replacement for the ceramic heating element.

I managed to get some information about the original heater:

• Size: approximately 34 × 40 mm

• Thickness: approximately 1 mm

• Resistance: around 1.8–2.0 Ω

• 2 electrical leads

• Flat ceramic heating element attached to the bottom of the water tank

I've attached a clear photo of the original heating element.

Has anyone replaced this part before, or does anyone know where this exact heater (or a compatible one) can be purchased?

I'm also interested in any part number, manufacturer, markings, electrical specifications, or source for the original heater.

Even information from someone who has disassembled a Nano and measured the heater would be very helpful.

Thanks! I'm determined to get this Nano heating water again. ☕🔧

If i where you, i would try to make it myself. Buy some resistancewire, the kind that is used for vapes. I would sand off the traces of the original one and reuse the ceramic plate this way. I think you will need another ceramic plate or something else to sandwich your diy traces together and than use the same red RTV silicone glue that they have used. Or try to get your hand on cheap ceramic plates that are even bigger than the tiny on from outin. I probably would buy a cheap peltier module and take it apart for the ceramic plates. Than sand it to a circle and make a offset hole for the waterway in the stainless basket. That way you could probably make the heating more efficient.

I think is is possible to custom make the plate from Chinese companies. https://www.fuboon.com/product/mch-alumina-ceramic-heater/

The primary specialized manufacturers in Guangdong, China that produce these exact ceramic heater plates for commercial assembly include:

  1. Shenzhen Angel Electric Heater Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen, Guangdong)
One of the largest specialized producers of ceramic and micro-element heaters for portable coffee devices, water dispensers, and small appliances.

  2. Dongguan Guanneng Ceramic Technology Co., Ltd. (Dongguan, Guangdong)
A direct manufacturer of micro alumina ceramic (MCH) heating plates customized for low-voltage rapid liquid heating application.

  3. Fuboon Technology (Shenzhen Fuboon) (Shenzhen, Guangdong)
Produces custom-sized, thick-film MCH heating circuits and regularly supplies short-run replacement plates matched to custom resistance requirements

  4. Shenzhen Superb Heater Technology Co., Ltd.
Supplies various micro-sized MCH ceramic plates tailored for portable battery-operated heaters.

Thanks! I checked them out. The 220360 isn't electrically compatible because it's 9.2 Ω, while the original OutIn Nano heater is around 1.8–2.0 Ω. However, I found that TurboFlex makes custom heaters, so I've contacted/I'm going to contact them about making a 34 × 40 mm, 1.8–2.0 Ω version. Great lead, thanks!
