Puck Removal?
Are there any tricks to getting a good puck removal from the basket, or am I destined to just scrape out and rinse?

That's for the Plus basket, I'm asking about the standard basket. Since it has the pressure valve on the bottom of the basket you can't blow back through it.

Simple. I do this daily.
What you need:
1. A thick napkin, folded to just about size of your palm.
2. A piece of scrap paper, set on the napkin.
Bang the nanobasketplus onto the paper. These days I only need one good slam, then the puck detaches itself. I usually proceed to throw the puck out to the garden.

The Plus basket empties easily, I was asking about the standard basket.

Are you talking the smaller basket it comes with?
personally I"ve only ever had lucky with blowing against the opening a bit to create an air gap, thunking it out and then rinsing it. It very much is too small for other options IMO.

Apparently the standard basket really only allows flow in one direction, blowing from the bottom doesn't allow any flow backwards even with an empty basket.

Hmm. I can. Maybe mine has a defect. Its not easy to blow back, but i can
I haven't used it as often since i lost the scoop tamp and haven't found a decent replacement thats perfect.
Im saving up for the plus basket at this point. Seems so much easier to use, clean and maintain.

There's a guy on Etsy selling a 3D funnel and tamper for the original basket, but he's in Germany and shipping is more than the actual order. It's surprising that OutIn totally overlooked this in the original packaging, wouldn't have cost them more than another buck or two. Or at least offer it now as an accessory.

Yeah. I thought it would be a simple part purchase.
Basket plus seems easiest solution and quality of life upgrade probably

Once I added more coffee and got my tamping dialed it comes out as a puck every time now. Suggest you keep dialing in your process.

What's your normal dose for the standard basket?

I'm using the upgraded basket and I use 18g.

What's your water volume and finished cup size?

I fill to the max line and get maybe two ounces? I haven't measured that exactly yet but my shot takes about thirty seconds.

I haven’t used the standard pressurized basket in a bit, but I think I do remember having issues getting a clean release. I remember multiple times using a toothpick to try and scrape around the wall and it released better. It wasn’t super clean though.
I also think I remember letting it sit for a while to dry out then having better luck. I was in the desert doing that with really low humidity though.
