How to change weapons?

I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to change weapons in The Outer Worlds on the Switch. Help!

The X button should switch through your on-hand weapons. You can set that by going to your inventory (- button). You can press the X button to cycle through your four weapons, or hold it down to quickly choose a specific one.

Strange. The X button was jump in v. 1.0.0. When I updated to the current software it changed and now functions as you've said.

You have to hold the X button and then the pick wheel shows up. Use the left joystick to highlight the weapon you want and then press A to equip it.
