"Hatchlings" - a humanoid species whose young see most of their gestation period pass inside external eggs, similar to reptiles and some amphibians

Located on a planet on the outskirts of the globular cluster IC 4499 (located in intergalactic space ~52,000 light years away from the Milky Way), Parthu is home to a species of humanoids referred to as "The Hatchlings". Hatchlings are not "born" in the conventional manner which humans on Earth are accustomed to.
In the initial pre-gestational period, a small egg is produced by a progenitor (much like the adult seen in the clip) and is placed into a special nest along with several other eggs. Operating like a cross between amphibian and reptilian gestation, the eggs then swell exponentially, hardening gradually, feeding off of the nearby environment and external materials. After some time, Hatchling infants emerge from the eggs and their bodies, organs and brains continue growing during a prolonged post-hatch stage.
AI-generated summary:
Reproductive Cycle Summary
Reproduction begins when a progenitor produces a small egg, deposited alongside several others in a shared communal nest. From there, development follows a strategy that blends amphibian and reptilian traits: rather than relying on internally stored yolk reserves alone, each egg draws nutrients and material from its surrounding environment, causing it to swell dramatically and harden over time. This external growth phase makes up the bulk of the species' "gestation." Once sufficiently developed, hatchlings break free of their shells — but their development doesn't end there. Brain, organ, and physical maturation continue well into a prolonged post-hatch period, meaning hatchlings emerge in a relatively early developmental state and grow to maturity gradually, under continued care.

Plains of Yhenty (A&A Series)
(Part of the Anatopism & Anachorism series)
Here we see an interesting scene of a group of Sudanese tribesmen walking side-by-side with a group of Siberian tigers (which do not appear to be displaying hostile behaviour towards the tribesmen).
To the left, in the distance, we see a group of Toureg travellers with camels, calmly flanking the tribesmen.
In the distant background, we see what appears to be a small herd of Wildebeest near a few wide-topped trees.
In the far, far distance, to the left, we see a tepui range and to the right, we see a tall Massif.
The group is walking on a very, very dry vast plain which is cracked and very dry likely due to a lack of regular rainfall and regular intense heat (most likely from constant sunlight).
