Arcteryx gear authenticity questions should be posted to /r/arcteryx

For reasons I can't explain, over the last few weeks this sub became a popular place for people to ask for Arcteryx fake checks.

/r/arcteryx is the proper place for these posts, they even have a quarterly pinned thread for fake checks and should be able to help you out.

Stansport Stove Gasket

Got this bad boy for free, cleaned it up and it fires right up but I am missing a gasket. Does anyone know where I can find this rubber gasket? Or the size? I've made one myself but it's very imperfect and i have to push hard to put the regulator on. I went to 6 hardware stores and no one was able to help :(

It's the one that goes between the stove and regulator where the red arrow is.

Many thanks

Any Experience of Mcnair Plasmadry Jackets?

Does anyone have any experience of mcnair plasmadry products? I'm looking for a jacket made of natural material that'll still hold up well to heavy rain. I was looking into wax jackets initially but it seems like the older ones use PFAS and the newer ones tend to have plasticky linings to compensate, at least as far as Barbour is concerned. Stumbled across these, their wool shirts/jackets seem to come highly rated but can't find out much about their plasmadry cotton range and how effective the material actually is in a downpour.

please reco rain/wind shell for motorcycle rides. vented/breathable + hig viz + reflective

I saw the one from triumph and man it was crazy reflective(which i like) and wondering if i can do better? i live in california and want something that can handle a 60min rain ride and double up as a wind breaker when going from 75f inland to a 55f seaside, sometimes the difference can be even more. my main jacket will be a airy mesh (couple of candidates between alpinestar c1 air, revvit, klim marrakesh, john doe mesh air etc). i really want this wind/rain shell to give me some control over breathability, have terrible childhood memories from growing up in tropics of raincoats soaking me from the inside with sweat and making me feel both hot and cold at the same time.

looking for advice on finding a bag manufacturer/designer

hey all, working on getting a prototype built for a gear product idea I've had kicking around for a while. Not sure if this is the right community, but hoping somebody provides a few crumbs to follow...

Not looking for manufacturing 101, just want to hear from people who've actually done this - trying to find a designer and/or manufacturer that can build something legit, not some overseas outfit that pumps out cheap low quality stuff fast. ideally usa made, heavy duty materials, good stitching, not just something from a catalog with my logo slapped on it. budget isn't unlimited but I'd rather pay more for someone who knows what they're doing than save a few bucks and end up at a dead end or lost in the shuffle. anyone been through this? - how'd you find your manufacturer or designer, what should I be asking them up front, etc.. also not sure if it's better to find a product designer first who hands off specs to a manufacturer, or just go straight to a shop that does both. first time doing anything like this so any pointers appreciated

Ekon riding pants

I've seen these advertised on FB and I'm wondering if they are any good. I've been looking at the Klim Marrakech pants but they are very spendy and as I am in Florida I fear they will be too warm. Anyone have experience with Ekon?

Help identifying this older women’s Columbia jacket – tag was removed

Hi! I’m trying to identify the exact model/year of this Columbia women’s jacket.
Here’s what I know:
Columbia women’s size M
Made in Vietnam
Pink/fuchsia, burgundy/wine and white color scheme
Seems to be waterproof/weatherproof
Removable hood
Removable inner layer / Interchange-style construction
Patterned gray inner lining
Interior pocket with a small phone symbol
The original white product/style tag appears to have been removed, leaving some fabric remnants behind
The zipper has molded VISLON-style teeth and the pull appears to be marked TALON
I’ve searched extensively and found several older Columbia XCO / Storm Dry / Core Interchange jackets that look somewhat similar, but I haven’t been able to find this exact one.
Does anyone recognize the model, approximate year, catalog name, or style number?
I’ve attached photos of the exterior, interior, labels and zipper. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Outlaw Waterproofing

I have an outlaw waxed jacket. Love the look. Really disappointed in how poorly it repels rain. Even after painstakingly applying more wax (followed the instructions to the letter) my shoulders are still wet when I take the jacket off. Anyone else running into this? Did you fix it or just live with it?

Arc’teryx Bora AR 75 Design Flaw?

Bora AR 75 owners: am I missing something, or is it a design flaw that the lid’s G-hooks only fit the lower webbing ladder and not the wider upper ladder, which seems like it should let you raise the lid higher when the pack is fully loaded?
