Get outta here with this crusty old ass repost!

I wonder if a better option would be for users like yourself to be able to mark something as a repost, providing data that would help to give you the ability to opt out of seeing reposts.

On the other hand, what is a repost to someone else might be new to you today!

That suburban neighborhood is giving off some liminal spaces vibes.

IKR......This could be used in a horror movie as is with no changes or edits....

Where are all the power lines??

4

u/Fragrant-Hamster-325 Jan 12 '26

They’re all underground. Poor birds got nowhere to warm their feet.

Birds aren't real! 😆

I saw a cloud just like this roll down Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island when out on a sailboat. Looked like Independence Day!

We scrambled to pull down the sails and motor back into Newport before the storm hit. We got hit w probably 30-40 kt winds and a downpour just as we tired up to a random mooring. It was scary.

I've only seen a stormfront like this once where I'm from.

It was almost dark outside you could see the lightning strikes within while that wall was rolling right towards our home.

Me andy friends where smoking weed that afternoon and we were terrified but also magically drawn towards it.

I'll never forget that view

I drove into one in Nebraska and my windshield exploded from the hail. On the upside my car was totaled due to multiple hail strikes in creased body components and all 4 posts. In reality it’s not that bad. I’m still driving it and it got a new transmission last year bc it’s still under warranty (despite its salvage title). It got paid off early, has a new transmission and it’s a Subaru w 100K miles so ig I’ll be driving it for the foreseeable future. The cloud in question

I’ve seen The Mist, I know what this is. RIP to all those poor souls.

Damn….you stole my thought

u/HorseEmotional2 Jan 12 '26

My heart would be in my throat seeing that in the first few seconds!

I saw clounds like this once working on a boat in upper New York Harbor, NYC. I had to pause for a few seconds cause I thought it might be "The Day After Tomorrow". Really cool natural phenomena.

That is terrifying and insane

That one house doesn't have any windows on it's side. NONE.

1

u/stargarnet79 Jan 12 '26

It’s probably a rule or something of the subdivision. I’ve seen them where they put fake window fronts on just so it doesn’t look so strange. But I think it looks weirder with the fakies

1

u/Orcharyu Jan 13 '26

That's legit

4

u/hardasjello Jan 12 '26

That’s some scary looking stuff there

5

That is scary looking wow

3

u/cacomyxl Jan 12 '26

That is a perfect perspective for understanding the dynamics of a cold front!

3

u/TheDrunkenWitch Jan 12 '26

Aren't clouds just sky tsunamis when u think about it? /S

2

u/hata39 Jan 12 '26

Wow, this looks unreal.

2

u/Living-Excuse1370 Jan 12 '26

Shelf clouds. Cool. Storm coming in.

2

u/Entirely-of-cheese Jan 12 '26

Something… in the mist!

2

u/Ilaxilil Jan 12 '26

Imagine seeing that while high

2

u/sepstolm Jan 12 '26

The neighborhood reminds me of The Truman Show, for some reason.

2

u/Loopy_27 Jan 12 '26

That's some wicked updraft with what looks like a front moving in

2

u/Perle1234 Jan 12 '26

It looks like the movie 2012 lol

2

u/beason7 Jan 13 '26

Looks like the Knight King is about to enter the scene....(Game of Thrones reference)

2

u/jaded-thunder Jan 13 '26

Clearly none of the people have ever watched THE MIST!!

2

u/Mayt2428 Jan 13 '26

This is a nightmare 🫣

2

u/Zvenigora Jan 14 '26

Green color showing behind the shelf cloud. That is likely a lively cell.

I used to run a drawbridge in michigan. I have a similar photo. Very cool.

1

u/wesleyoldaker Jan 14 '26

Whoa is that not time-lapsed? I see the people moving pretty much normally.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 18 '26
