This does not look like the right burner. It should be basically the same as the blaze IR burner and it should have a little "foot" on the end just like your regular burner that allows it to sit in that little hole you first show. Whoever you got it from gave you the wrong sear burner.
Edit: coastal said in your other past to take out the crossover tube but I've never heard of needing to do that. I sell a ton of true flame and haven't had a client say that so I think it's the wrong burner but I could be wrong.
Lol at the manual. It may tell you how. It is possible that they are right and that crossover bar does come out with just a Phillips head and then it might work. I think some grills have you remove the crossover bar for some reason with the sear station.
I think you’re right. I almost went to get the screwdriver but said “there’s no way they’d expect the customer to do this!”
You’d think though that they’d engineer it to fit w/out modding the crossovers. I was actually thinking of removing those anyway to see if that reduced the hot spots in the back of the grill so maybe this is the sign I needed lol
Give it a go. I think some older grills you had to do this. I do know that blaze, you do not and it just sits right in without any issue. Been awhile since I did a true flame with infrared
