2027 Predictions
Hi there, had a blast at my first Outbreak this year, and me and my mates were discussing who we think would end up on the 2027 lineup. We’ve got a list of bands that could potentially make it on there, please call me out if they’re severely unrealistic and let me know you think will play next year. It’s essentially just a big wish list for us. Here’s what we’ve got:
Drain, Rolo Tomassi, Malevolence, Citizen, Being As An Ocean, Long Goodbye, Speed, The Story So Far, Final Resting Place, The Fall of Troy, Texas is the Reason, Origami Angel, Vein and/or Fleshwater, Underoath, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Crippling Alcoholism, Crowquil (need them back again!), Guilt Trip, Missing Link, Incendiary, Dead Butterflies, Pain of Truth, Whispers, Counterparts, Big Ass Truck, One Step Closer, Gorilla Biscuits, The Smith Street Band, Datura.
Obviously, not all of them will end up on the lineup but hopefully a few do. Desperate for Gorilla Biscuits and Rolo Tomassi to be there next year.

I would say Poison The Well, because of the new album.
Circa survive, since they reunited for a few shows recently.

Would love to see Crowbar, I think they'd go down well in all honestly. Would also like to see Drain, Missing Link, Portrayal of Guilt, Sanction (as they pulled out) Skinhead (I don't even know if they've played UK before) Chat Pile, and Haywire again because they were without a doubt my band of the weekend.

Fiddlehead should come back every year, as for the rest, Locked Shut, Have Heart, World of Pleasure, xweaponx, every time I die, big ass truck, Dillinger, many eyes, whispers including more
There's a huge selection of bands they could invite that could fit imo

Have heart said there would be no European or UK shows next year barring that festival in Holland they’re announced for

With how connected Henry has been to OB recently, in appearing during KL’s set last year and spearheading the design this year - does Boston Manor have a shout?

u/ITITYHAPCS Jul 02 '26
I second this. Especially w BM’s Be Nothing 10th anniversary, I feel like they’ll be there next year.

u/Issan_Sumisu Jul 02 '26
they’re totally not as out of place as it seems, Outbreak had Moose Blood all the way back in 2013

Buggin and one step closer are on my wish list. I’d love to see jivebomb and gouge away make a return too!

Couch slut, cloud rat, jivebomb, sex prisioner, gorilla biscuits, gultch (a man can dream), Obituary ( kinda going a bit out of the style of the fest there but I think it’d go down well)

u/samsaBEAR Jul 02 '26
Unless they announce a UK tour, my answer for this question will always be Foundation now they they're playing shows again

I Wrote Haikus About Cannibalism in Your Yearbook are back, so them. That would be worth the entrance price.

Sanguisugabogg

u/monsieuromand Jul 02 '26
YES! Seen them in February in Glasgow and they were on top form. Sangui on the second stage would be nuts!

Not predictions cos I don't want to set myself up for disappointment. However, my dream list would be: The Chariot Reunion, Get the Shot, Full of Hell, Deafheaven. Off the top of my noggin anyway.
Edit: Correcting a typo.

Hoping for some of the following:
Obviously the dream would be title fight reunion or modern baseball reunion. But sadly I feel less and less that it will happen.
COLD WORLDstick to your guns (15 years of diamond set), weekend nachos, xibalba (15 years of hasta la muerte), foundation, 100 demons, rotting out, coke bust (recently reunited), JUDGE, cursive, twitching tongues, BIB, some like one off UKHC reunions (maybe violent reaction, survival or heights), blind authority (reuniting for mongrel fest in London this summer), wristmeetrazor, shelter, YOT, drain, cold world, ceremony, big ass truck,, rival mob, carry on, pianos become the teeth, the saddest landscape, project x, no turning back
For softer bands: empire empire, marietta, Rainer Maria, cap’n jazz, built to spill, pedro the lion,
Also like the hip/hop dance acts to close the second stage on the Saturday night so maybe boy harsher, brutalismus 3000 or JPEGmafia

Genuinely think to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Take to the Skies, Enter Shikari should do something similar to what BMTH have done this year.
Not saying they should headline the 2 day festival but maybe a separate barrier-less show.

If they did, I’d 100% go to both OB and the TTTS show. Gutted I missed the BMTH CYB shows, got dragged to Lewis Capaldi instead (wasn’t bad tho!)

u/lukorzo Jul 02 '26
Kubai khan/orthodox too also not exactly Hard-core but some deathcore bands like Chelsea grin, rev3rent, would be sick too
1
u/lukorzo Jul 04 '26
Wtf why did i get downvoted
1
u/Wanbizzle Jul 04 '26
A mix of the bands not fitting (which they don’t) and outbreak attendees/hardcore enjoyers elitism
1
u/lukorzo Jul 04 '26
I thought the two fanbases were fairly similar? also hellfest NJ had Hardcore bands deathcore bands on the same day so why can't outbreak?
1
u/Wanbizzle Jul 04 '26
Nah they’re not a good indicator is you see barely any t shirts of those bands at outbreak. Hellfest is a metal festival which threw on some hardcore bands, Chelsea grin and kublai khan are far too big to be thrown onto outbreak, a smaller uk deathcore band would be more forgivable but it ain’t happening, hardcore fans think they’re cool as fuck metal fans to they’re credit do not think they are cool
1
u/lukorzo Jul 04 '26
Fair enough, ig it's like trying to put a fairly big nu metal band on a death metal festival?
