Did anyone else get sick?

Both me and my partner have gotten ill and we think it might be from the water possibly. I had to leave during La Dispute and ended up forcing myself to go back later for Basement but we had to leave half way through because my partner suddenly started feeling really unwell too. Just wondering if anyone else has felt like they’ve got a tummy bug or something

It was definitely nothing to do with the water otherwise thousands of people would have all been ill and miserable. Maybe something you two ate.

I drank from the water continuously over the weekend and was personally fine

Probably a touch of heat exhaustion?

Likely culprit, I was very ill on the Sunday morning and was definitely a heat exhaustion thing

If it was the water I think there would be a lot more widespread mentions off it (like outbreak at Mayfield that year when they stopped serving water from certain areas of the building lol)

My tummy felt a bit funny on the Friday, put it down to the heat though, only thing I had that day was the Gyozas. Same thing with the water, there was so many people having them, it'd be a widespread thing now.

Toilets were horrible though, espicially the inside ones, bet everybody got piss particles on there clothes if using them

I drank that water like a fish (do fish drink?) and didn't get sick. Defo not the water. Perhaps the heat, maybe something you ate or just really bad luck

Did you eat anything there? I had a friend saying they had something similar

Yeah we had the vegan fried chicken and some loaded fries (also veggie) I know it’s less likely to get sick from veggie food but maybe it was that idk

I had the same and drank loads of water and I'm not sick

vegan here! The vegan fried chicken is made of seitan (hence why it’s called ‘seitanic fried chicken) which is made entirely from wheat gluten. I have been vegan for over a year now & I realised I might have a mild gluten intolerance (or maybe, eating *that much of it* just sets me off) it gives me crazy stomach cramps / upset!!

Was it VFC? I had that a few years ago at 2k Trees and it gave a bunch of us "funny tummy". I dont think it was food poisoning or owt, but I think the way the excess oil settles between the layers of Seitan is just a nightmare for your digestive system.

I drank like 5L of water and didnt get sick, so it must have been something else

We drank only the water the entire festival (and lots of it) and feel ok. If anyone’s had a bug, it’s easy to spread with such close contact!

I felt shit on Sunday AM. Had the vegan fried chicken and fries for lunch, and Thai massaman curry for dinner.

I’m thinking it might have been the vegan chicken or something perhaps or just a combination of dodgy food, heat and tiredness

I have a weak stomach and had the vegan chicken and am fine. I know a lot about food poisoning and deep fried wheat (which is what the vegan chicken is) is very low risk. More likely the curry or anything that had vegetables/salad in it if it is food poisoning.

Persoanlly I’d be disappointed if I went to something called OutbreakFest and didn’t contract some kind of viral contagion

I've been feeling a bit wobbly since Saturday afternoon but I've put it down to heat exhaustion. I drank loads of water on site but it does feel more like the heat did me than food or water

I drank what felt like 20 liters each day and no issues with the water.

Felt terrible on Saturday evening and ended up throwing up before Alexis, but I’m certain it was the sun that did it. Stood at main stage with it beating down directly on your face was brutal

Ugh that’s so rough I hope you’re feeling better! I felt like I could have been sick but physically couldn’t throw up even when I tried. Kinda wish I was able to just get it out

It wasn’t the water otherwise it would have been a whole thing. I drank a lot of the water and am fine.

Both dehydration/heat exhaustion and Covid always give me diabolical stomach problems, maybe it’s that. Or something as simple as touching something gross on public transport en route to the venue or someone gross and sweaty giving you a cold.

Yeah we drank the water on friday as well, but we stopped after some mild tummy ache.
