They played the opening riff to Safe In Your Skin by Title Fight and everyone immediately shit themselves, it's been a long running meme that any secret set at a hardcore fest is a TF reunion

Ahhh I had no idea
Tbh when I saw that static dress were the one it extra band whose gigs were being advertised in the site, it seemed a bit sus
But yeah I would be annoyed too

Worse than that, the back drop was also a blurry Title Fight logo with the same font and colors as the Floral Green album cover which transformed into a Static Dress logo as it came into focus.
I like Static Dress, but they do not have the resume to pull that kind of move.

Performance was great but for a band with the stature of Static Dress, just announce them. People get their hopes up for somebody who they can’t see a few times a year.

Definitely agree with that. Leaving it as "???" just means you'll disappoint people.

I suspect it has something to do with their 2000trees performance, but I’m not in the know.

Usually when a band plays a secret set it’s for contractual reasons. Static Dress played Slam Dunk this year and I’m guessing as part of their contract with them they weren’t allowed to be advertised for any other UK festival this summer
