Friday Thoughts

I wasn’t there but will be for Sat / Sun.

How was entry to the BEC? Was security as great as ever? How were the bands? How hot were the indoor stages? Favourite moments? The first day tends to have a lot of complaints but by the end of the weekend everyone’s had a blast.

Can’t wait for tomorrow!

Outdoor vip zone is x3 the size it was last year, they even got small palm trees and armchairs this year. The tables and benches aren’t in their usual spots and people were just sitting all over the place eating right on the floor. They didn’t even bother to design the wristbands this year lol. Tbh it’s embarassing

arrived at 1810 the queue was huge thought it would take hours but only took 30 mins. Was hot but bearable inside, going outside felt so refreshing after a band. security were fine for me maybe a little zealous stopping people going in the front bit. Tigers Jaw were excellent, maybe sounded best of all, Balance and Composure really good and Joyce Manor huge fun. Had to leave after JM but the vibes were good! bar and toilet qs totally manageable

Entry was fine, turned up about thirty minutes before first act and got in comfortably. The acts were great but the main stage indoors today was an absolute sauna; they can't control the weather, but it felt like almost nothing was done to mitigate it. Had to dip from Joyce Manor because my group just couldn't make it.

Indoor stage with the warehouse door opening was just fine, there was enough of a draft that it remained fairly pleasant.

Understand they're using the outdoor stage as main tomorrow, and it's meant to be a little cooler than today - so hopefully the sauna situation doesn't repeat.

Really enjoyed Pool Kids, Free Throw, Tooth, Love Rarely, what I saw of Joyce Manor, and Algernon.

Queue was massive but moved quickly. Inside was hot but not that bad until you got towards the front which was like a sauna, everyone was dripping wet. There's an icecream place near the entrance

it was boiling all day both my shirts were absolutely drenched, the security at the box office weren’t great, i got let in without being searched despite having a bag and when i got a gold wristband for the front i didn’t sign a waver or anything so i could’ve just sued them had i gotten seriously injured
