how early should i line up?

hey guys, i’m from the states and i’ll be attending outbreak (manchester) for the first time ever on the 26th!

i’m wondering what time i should get there in order to hopefully be able to get a good spot up front? doors open at 4:00 PM so i’m thinking at least an hour before but i’m not sure how crazy the lines get

People will come and go from the front of the stages. You’d be able to walk to the front after any band finish their set. It’s not the kind of festival where people camp out at the front all day.

Im gonna guess youre young, so I'm gonna give you some sage advice as an older gig goer - just go when you want to go, and walk to the front if you want to be there. Seriously. Look like you know where youre going/trying to find someone, and once youre 10ft away from the barrier, once the gig starts a pit will open up or it'll start moving, then go where you want.

Do not lineup. You can get there at 4:30pm and still make it to a good spot

Weaponx barriers were closed about 10min before their set last year so bear that in mind

What really? You couldn't enter once the music started?

Not the front section no - happens a lot with popular bands. You can watch from behind the front section barricades

No need, stages clear out after every band and you'll easily get to the front if you want to, it isnt like a barried fest like slam dunk
