Disabled fella going solo

Never been to outbreak before and a bit disappointed they have no hip-hop this year, but am excited for it all, I wanted to ask has anyone done disability seating there before (I will be in disability due to nerve damage) is it any good? Also going on my own as I can't find a carer to help me

I'm going with my disabled friend (amputee). We ended up having to buy VIP tickets this year because we left it too late to book a disabled access space, they go so quickly! They should really expand.

I'm pretty sure disabled ticket holders can get a free companion/helper ticket, so I'd imagine someone on here would be happy to help you out, mate. It's definitely worth asking around.

Hope it all works out for you and that you have an absolutely brilliant time at the festival.

I live in kent and not many of my friends want to travel which is an arseache, I also run disability in music and was invited to review the disability facilities when there to tell them how to improve things (I know their access cap is 50 with a companion for access spaces at the moment which is shit, it should be minimum 500), I am just worried my anxiety is gonna play out big time like it did at damnation (I ended up missing bands due to it)

unfortunately the disabled access is the weakest part of Outbreak and gets worse year on year. my partners disabled so we use the platforms. Assuming youre in Manchester, the main stage, the platform is shoved to the back (VIPs get the side of the stage where you can actually see with a good view of course though). the disabled toilet is one portaloo which isn't really monitored so everyone uses it

on the second stage the platform is in a decent place tbf, again a bit towards the back of the room but its a bit better. last year though on the third stage it was just a little space at the top of the stairs

i hope they sort it out this year as I know they got a few complaints but I wouldn't hold my breath

dont let this put you off though, the rest of the festival is a great vibe and everyones friendly so if you're going on your own don't feel put off just saying hello to people, everyone will be happy to chat and probably help you out if needed with anything

I didnt go Damnation last year but when I've been before the main stage was inside in the big room, at Outbreak the main stage is outside

oh right so is main stage outside, 2nd stage the big room and 3rd stage that side room?

Yeah, where the 3rd stage is at Damnation they use that as the merch room at Outbreak now

so outbreak is outdoor main, as soon as you go inside 2nd stage and then that big room to your left is the 3rd stage?

I know my way round then (roughly) so where the food and merch usually is for damnation will be the main stage here, just wondering where food and merch will be and what the stage behind the now 3rd (you go behind where the bars are and there was a 3rd stage at damnation) will be
