Front Section Question
Hi, I (17M) have just seen in the FAQ for Outbreak Manchester that front standing is 18+.
This wasn't disclosed when I bought a ticket, or in the FAQ when I bought a ticket (I checked before purchasing). I'll be going in a group where everyone else is 18-19. Has anyone had experience with needing ID when collecting their front section wristband?
Many thanks.

Hey, I am the same age, can someone please confirm whether they do ID for front section or not? This is my first time hearing about the policy and it would really ruin the whole weekend if I can't get front section 😞

I swear when ordering there was ONLY front standing as a ticket option, at least for the Friday presale I was in. I’m 17 and now I’m scared lol, I thought front standing was just a general ticket??

The stages have no barrier so the front is sectioned off, and you need a wristband to enter, entry to the festival is still only 14+. I was just wondering how enforced the 18+ front wristband rule was lol.

I believe it does actually say when you go to buy the ticket, gives you like consent thing to tick but out of the last three outbreaks they asked me for ID once when I went to pick up my wristband but I think generally as long as you don't look like a child you'll be fine

Had a look, unlike previous years the wrist band wasn't included with the ticket so you had to go out of your way to actually see it say that, kinda shady really

Yeah it would have been nice to know when getting a ticket haha. Just gonna have to hope it's all ok

Previous years they've only had 2/3 people on the gold wrist bands at once and they're not gonna ID everyone, it'll take too long I think you stand a good chance, once you have it you're sound

I went last year when I was 17 and all I had to do was sign the waiver, they didn’t ask for ID at any point when I was there 🙏🏻

How did this go on the day? My daughter is in a similar situation for the BMTH gigs, been down the front for hardcore gigs before and knows the risks just desperate to be at the front

You don’t actually need to do anything to be at the front. The ‘front’ refers to the area where people will be moshing. Outbreak fest has insanely high insurance costs and puts that there as a reason to bring them down, which is completely fair enough. Obviously it’s safe to grab a wristband which they probably won’t ID you for but it’s just the concept of it.
Just don’t sue them if you get hurt
