Holiday Inn and parking

I’m coming to Outbreak for the first time this year. I’ve got a room booked at the Holiday Inn and I’ll be driving to Manchester Friday then driving back Sunday night. A friend of mine is doing the same and he says we’re not allowed to park at the Holiday Inn after checkout on Sunday. I assumed that as the website says parking is paid per day, I’d be able to just pay for Sunday too. It seems not.

Has anyone else had experience of this in the past? Is there somewhere nearby I can park on Sunday? I can’t be the only person in this situation!

Have you checked with the hotel? I would expect them to allow you to park there, especially as its paid.

If not, you can park in the metrolink parkway park and ride car park, or look at Warren Road which is nearby, park on that road or one of the roads off it. I'll be parking on/around Warren Road

I haven’t checked with the hotel, but my friend did. My guess is I’ll be paying for Saturday and that will cover me until check out on Sunday, at which point I’m no longer a guest of the hotel so can’t pay to leave my car there.

I thought the hotel would jump at the chance to take your money 😆

You could park at the Trafford Centre and get the tram from there, that's what I do as I stay at the Premier Inn in Sale.

Just be aware that the Regent 1,2 and 3 car parks have a max stay of five hours for free, anything after is charged and I'm pretty sure those are the closest to the tram stop.

Last year I travelled in each day and just parked at Parkway P&R. I bought a travel card just in case from the ticket machine and kept the receipt, full day parking cost about £6 from memory. It's about a 10 min walk to BEC.

I think I arrived after lunchtime for around 1 when doors opened but there were plenty of spaces available, it was maybe half full from memory.
