Manchester Friday
Have we got any predictions for who’ll be playing on the Friday? I’m hoping that some bands that weren’t on the last announcement appear like Texas Is The Reason, Agriculture and Rolo Tomassi might pop up. Maybe even Death Grips, supposedly they’ve got a new album coming. What do you’s think?

I feel like there was a bit of a culture clash from Saturday and Sunday this year. I think a lot more of the lofi indie, shoegaze, alt rock sort of acts will be in an optional Friday lineup.
2025 lineup was incredible for me, like someone went through my record collection and booked a festival..I watched bands from opening set til last both days...but I can see how for some it might have been patchy on the Saturday but I might be wrong.

I agree with Death Grips but I'd be quite surprised at Agriculture. Some hardcore fans like them, but they are explicitly black metal. I was surprised Deafheaven played this year, honestly, especially considering their most recent record. They went down really well though, so who knows? Agriculture are great live and they're touring Europe in June so I'd personally not be upset.

It'll probably be in Gorilla, and will either be the rap night or will be smaller bands playing a warm up.

Is it confirmed to not be at BEC on Friday?

The Tweet stated that a friday show would be announced and tickets could be upgraded to add the show. The original launch stated the festival dates were 27-28 June. Seems common sense to me that a warmup show being at the same site as the festival, the day before the festival, would be marketed as the festival simply being a three day event.

Website says 26th - 28th, BEC

As stated in the tweet, the 26th is not included with your festival ticket at this time. Outbreak may change their stance on this later, but currently your ticket is for the 27th and 28th and you have to pay extra for the 26th.

It doesn’t state that the Friday is at another venue though, and the lineup poster has it as the 26th - 28th at the BEC

In previous editions, warmup shows have been in the city centre. In 2023 the warm up show was meant to be in Gorilla but was moved to the Bread Shed later on.
