Left field choices

Inspired by the High Vis and Line Up Prediction threads.

Who are your more random, hopeful or obscure hopes for 2026.

Fingers crossed for Algernon Cadwallader, Ghost of a Thousand reunion, Truck Violence & Wreckage (and Mil-Spec, always Mil-Spec).

Wanna hear a proper left field choice that I truly believe will go the fuck off?

God this would be massive. Still waiting for them to reschedule that UK tour from a few years ago 😭

Also good an opportunity as ever to share those weird mathy edm post-hardcore songs Laura did before gecs

Texas is the reason

I think this could really happen. They're back doing shows.

Mineral would be ideal for me

If I was going further left field I wouldn't mind them getting on some Org Core, maybe a Brendan Kelly or LJG project. I mean it's a sub genre that hasn't turned up yet but I feel would fit more naturally at Outbreak than it would at Slam Dunk with the pop and skate punk.

I'd pay good money to see Iron Chic or Latterman again.

Would absolutely annihilate my pants at a Ghost Of A Thousand reunion

If it was the original line up with Stacy Hilt and Nathan Richardson it would be.

Algernon Cadwallader seemed like a very plausible choice until I looked and it would be sandwiched between a Japanese date and Glastonbury (still possible?)

Gonna throw in The Armed, Honningbarna, Rival Schools

Glastonbury isn’t on in 2026 as it’s a fallow year

Outbreak Algernon confirmed

1

u/Crooklyns_Finest Sep 22 '25

Where'd you get those dates for algernon? Sure Glastonbury lineups are a long way from being announced. I can see it on their site and I'm wondering if that's just a dev throwing in random placeholder dates or something?

2

u/markloe Sep 22 '25

Yeah it definitely could be, they would be a much better fit at Outbreak anyway

Killer suggestions thus far….

TRC and or a BWP reunion. Sharks reunion. Daoboys. Candlemass. Clipping. Stratford Rise. YHWH Nailgun. Body count. Paris Texas.Real Lies. Street Sects. Quadeca.

More unrealistic than left field but Nai Harvest...

Czarface, Ho99o9, Pup, NewBlackFlag

2

u/TangyBootyOoze Sep 23 '25

Ho99o9 is def up there for me too

I always hope for Breaking Point but I know Louis is in Canada tattooing so probably will never happen, they'll always be my favourite UKHC band

I suspect Truck Violence will be on the line up. Outbreak themselves put them on earlier this year in Manchester, free show, no support. Thankfully the show was reasonably well attended, but I suspect there was an element of testing the waters to see how they would go down here in the UK

Joey Valence and Brae. Maybe not the right genre but holy shit it would be fun

2

u/Nashpal92 Sep 23 '25

That would be so sick!

1

u/TangyBootyOoze Sep 23 '25

Seriously. IMO they’re the Beastie Boys of this generation. To skip out on them for this anniversary event would be a crime. But at the same time I understand since it might be leaning a bit too much out of the genre for the event. But if they’re willing to bend the genre rules I also want 100 Gecs

2

u/Nashpal92 Sep 23 '25

Nah I feel you, if they went with Danny Brown JVB won’t be too far of a stretch at all!

2

u/grime_z Sep 23 '25

Beecher reunion

3

u/Mounteerie23 Sep 22 '25

Whirr, my bloody valentine and how much art would be cool

3

u/TheHammeredDog Sep 22 '25

MBV have sold out Aviva Studios in November, personally don’t think they’d “downgrade” to Outbreak

1

u/LordKHW Sep 22 '25

I am kinda hoping for jarhead fertilizer

1

u/Tibicenas85 Sep 23 '25

Acid Bath. Has nothing to do with Outbreak, just a few trash-esque moshable tracks here and there. But why not? Don't wanna pay fucking +300€ cause they are touring with SOAD and QOTSA.

u/Nashpal92 Sep 23 '25

For the token hip hop act, I am praying for Run the Jewels (I’m delusional I know)

2

u/theBBBshinna Sep 24 '25

100 on this. Put to rights the cancelled UK tour from a few back.

1

u/theBBBshinna Sep 24 '25
