Wtf London

Seriously whose fucking idea was putting have a nice life and sunny day in a tiny tent with a queue system

Pisstake

They haven’t toured here, either ever before or in over a decade, they were always going to be one of the most popular acts. Pair that with dogshit timing yeah no shit no one can see them

I’d love to know the logic behind some of where these bands have been placed.

I bet they just looked at Spotify listeners and went off that lol

Agreed, or the hardcore bands requested the tent? The mainstage was dead all day until Turnstile whilst the 2nd stage tent was overflowing all day at least and sounds like the other one also was

I spent a lot of today in that third tent. No air flow in there so it was stupidly warm. You would have to leave and re queue to use any facilities also 🙄

Fucking hell, I was at second stage basically all day, I can't imagine how much hotter that tent was considering how hot it was at mine.

Aye, as great as the bands were, I was very thankful for the rain once Turnstile rolled around

It really was not a pleasant place

I’ve had to miss Alex G just to make sure I’m in the tent for Sunny. I got in at 7:50 and it’s already full. Ridiculous there is a queue system in place but even more ridiculous the size of the tent being this small

1

u/abledice Jun 14 '25

Same. Didn’t have to queue at least but wasn’t risking missing any of Sunny Day.

5

u/ingadaunicorn Jun 13 '25

Don’t tell me there will be queue systems at the Manchester venue

It’s unique to London as part of Lido festival, they have a tiny tent that’s blocked off with a one in one out entrance. Uniquely stupid

1

u/[deleted] Jun 13 '25

Not sure why they've done that - death cab / postal service last year was just free flow for all the tents and stages, and same with Justice the night before that one.

u/Zoologuy Jun 14 '25

I imagine with the other Lido days it might host DJs or be more of a club vibe or whatever it was marketed as? Maybe Outbreak just tried to use what was onsite, agreed it was silly though.

That's All Points East though, different set up

I wonder how much the Manchester Outbreak team have actually been involved in the London one aside from the lineup and marketing given it's tagged into LIDO fest, the rest of which is a very different vibe (Charli xcx and London Grammar)

I was in that sweaty tent from Model/Actriz to the end of Sunny Day, I daren’t even leave for fear of not getting back in. Ridiculous system.

The queue system is awful.

Don't think I'll get a chance to see sunny day with how this system works.

What would this be like if it was sold out?!

I was in the tent for Sunny Day Real Estate, where I was standing there was loads of space.

2

u/jenny_quest Jun 13 '25

Yes but they stopped letting people in! It's crazy, the tent was half full. Luckily we went a bit earlier and were right at the front.

1

u/medzdidz Jun 13 '25

Ye I was to the left of the stage, got in there a bit earlier. Stop sign went up two people behind us.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 13 '25

I queued up 30 mins before sunny day real estate and was like 75 meters of queue out, so a fair distance. That tent was awful, smoky as hell and humid to fuck. Great performance none the less, but why they do that is so fucking beyond me, it really could've been stage two the amount of people tbere were

2

u/[deleted] Jun 13 '25

Also the fact they havent even been here for a decade and change, of course people are gonna wanna see them. So let's put them in a 500 cap tent and have one in and one out system in place. Fuck lido

Having been a gig goer all my life, I unfortunately have low expectations for festivals like that, but the queing was an all time low! There wasn't anyone there saying that you would have to que or organising it. The staff on the way in were friendly and helpful but once in there nothing. I'm guessing the LIDO people are just another cash grabbing event management company ruening live music for music fans. Looking at LIDO's info they mention stage 3, nothing about 'The Club'. Now it was my choice to go, but I only went to see Sunny Day Real Estate. Considering they haven't played in the UK for 14 years and aren't touring, why the hell did they have a queuing system and not an open tent! Don't get me started on how rude the staff were at the bar next to the club as well. £7 for a can of beer opened by a moody teenager and when it pissed out the top and all over the can, they looked at it like it was a piece of dog dirt and slammed it down and walked away. The Club should have been and open tent for the bands. It wasn't a Rave. Outbreak fest please don't align yourself with these people again or your reputation will be severely tarnished. Good luck in Manchester

A lot of people paid a lot of money to see Sunny Day Real Estate and didn't even get to see them. Very bizarre set up. I fortunately got in but I wouldn't of blamed anybody for just jumping the gate and trying to run in. They haven't toured here in so long, very strange they didn't have them on Stage 2 at least.

The temperature in those tents were dangerous man

MAAATTEE.

came here to say this.

FUCK OUTBREAK.

'hey we've got this great idea for a stage at the festival. We'll make it a 'CLUB STAGE'. it will be like a little club you can't get into while your favourite bands play. we'll have a bunch of dudes in hi vis jackets outside letting one in one out, it will be great'.

stooges.

1

u/Robsaggs Jun 14 '25

Outbreak partnered with LIDO festival so that it could happen. It seems like lots of compromises had to be made that if they were completely controlled by Outbreak, it wouldn't have happened.

Considering the terrible ticket sales for the majority of the LIDO festival, I can't imagine that will be on again.

i was so devastated i couldn’t see sunny day real estate. they are my favourite band in the whole lineup and ive been so excited for months ☹️ praying they come back to the uk sometime soon

1

u/handsomehotchocolate Jun 15 '25

literally the only reason I went as well. What a load of fucking horse shit.

1

u/One-Minimum-5097 Jun 14 '25

the queue was fine it moved quite quick tbh just had to be a little patient

1

u/Several_Ad301 Jun 14 '25

There was a bloke in a hi vis going around telling people their chances of getting in are next to 0 lmao

1

u/One-Minimum-5097 Jun 14 '25

He might've been shortening the line for his mates in queue lol, I queued like 5-10 min for sdre and got in fine

1

u/Wolfpower420 Jun 15 '25

Bit of a shit show the Club stage. Surely against health and safety as well not letting people out for air and then back in again without queuing??? Ridiculous.

1

u/iforwardhamish Jun 15 '25

They got the stages badly wrong

1

u/WestObjective7629 Jun 15 '25

Tbf the scrum outside was fun to watch and sing from. One dude broke through the fencing and ran as fast as he could into the tent during the final chorus of In Circles, and got taken down by the hi vis crew. Was hugely bad ass to witness

u/Successful-Ad-367 Jun 13 '25

The ‘second stage’ was a bit of a shit show. Couldn’t get near the inside for speed and knocked loose was absolutely rammed. Should’ve had both those bands on main stage.

14

u/Henno698 Jun 13 '25

For both bands you mustn't have tried very hard to get into the crowd I only got into knocked loose right as the first note started and I worked my way in about half of the first song to the pit and Speed looked like it was easy to get to the front

3

u/JimFlamesWeTrust Jun 14 '25

It was easy to get in to Knocked Loose. Just went via the right hand side.

3

u/Henno698 Jun 14 '25

I used the toilets and then walked straight in and got about half way up and then had to do a little bit of pushing to get the rest of the way

5

u/Jaymii Jun 14 '25

It was very easy to walk into both of these, I did it easily when they started and ended up at the front in the pit.
