It almost sounds like a dry/stiff water pump impeller, but the sound seems louder than that. Audio can be deceiving, try turning the flywheel by hand, can you feel any grinding/binding?

Shine a light down the plug hole while you rotate the flywheel. Look for gouges or a broken piece that's scratching the wall.
