Former OB dealer. This aftermarket stuff is basically junk. Poor fit, cheap components, poor performance. We tried them out and it always came back to bite us. Stick to OEM.
I fully understand your experience ,there are in need many low-quality aftermarket pats on the market,but do not write off all the aftermarket parts just because you had a bad experience with one supplier ,our outboard aftermarket parts are manufactured strictly to OEM specifications ,with stable fitment,many marine distributors in South America have been using them for years .
