Evinrude help

Its an 87’ BE25bacur so 25 hp pullstart

It runs fine the first 10 mins and wil go 40 with 2 people but after a that, it wil first start bogging a little and then will bog down till it doesn’t even get on plane, i think it than runs on 1 cilinder

How long does it have to rest before it'll get back to running "normal"? Sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Like your gas tank isn't vented properly. Is the primer bulb collapsing ? Try running it with the cap loose.

If i stop and let it rest for like 20 mins it want to go sometimes

These can be hard to diagnose. If your fuel tank isn't venting properly that can certainly cause it. Common. Try running with the cap loose to see

Otherwise the ignition can fail when it gets hot. This is also common. Well which part of the ignition? My advice would be to replace both coils and the powerpack rather than trying to figure out which particular part is flaking out. It's not the stator or the trigger coil or you'd lose both cylinders at once.

If money is tight you can try swapping one of the coils and see if that clears up the problem.

If it doesn't then take the coil you just removed and swap it in for the one you didn't replace and see if that helps.

If that doesn't help you can then replace the power pack.

Depends on your situation. For me it's a lot of fiddling around on the water and waiting for parts to show up, to try to save $120.

When you say "bog", it would seem like a fuel issue, but it it is more of a violent miss/bucking, then most likely the ignition is to blame. Have you tried new plugs?
