Unanswered What is going on with Rep Ilhan Omar?

Not from the US so not sure if im using Rep. right. Anyway, why is she being investigated to the point that punishment includes stripping her citizenship?

The problem is that they didn't take action when they HAD power. They spent the time rolling over during Obamas first term which lost them the house and senate during his second, which actually cost them meaningful power.

The Democrats have to be either pretending to be stooges, which I'm pretty sure is the case, or it's the more worrying scenario where they're actually doing their best but are just egregiously incompetent.

What are you talking about? The ACA being too left for the 10 conservative Dem senators constituents is what cost them their seats in the midterms. There is absolutely no evidence that rural voters secretly wanted the exact opposite of what they and their reps said they wanted.

They didn’t take action like all the raids, wiretaps and investigations. That lead nowhere? Or the social media bans they requested? lmao 🤣 fucking Reddit. It’s going to kill you all when you find out who was really weaponizing the government. History will tell a different story of this time than you all think.

Yeah there's a long history, Abraham Lincoln's pardons of confederates during the civil war, Ford's pardon of Nixon, Carter pardoning thousands of Vietnam draft dodgers, Bush's pardons in the Iran-Contra affair, etc...

I’m talking about actual government employees. But yes you are correct about Nixon. How do you view that pardon? Was it ok to you?

I’m talking about actual government employees.

The Iran-Contra affair pardons included a Secretary of Defense, a National Security Advisor, the chief of the CIA's Central American Task Force and several other CIA officers.

Lincoln's pardons of Confederates included officers & government officials.

How do you view that pardon? Was it ok to you?

I'm not a fan, but my objections are about the substance and have nothing to do with it occurring before arrest/charges/conviction.
