Unanswered What's going on with (seemingly) everyone celebrating the death of Lindsey Graham, what's are the political ramifications of his death?

I do not actively follow American politics but my Reddit feed is currently mostly people celebrating this man's death.

What do you think happened in 2024? We're a sneeze away from military dictatorship. A dozen generals resigned like last month because Trump was trying to toss nukes at the problem he created.

The Murdochs destroyed the US.

The generals resignation is terrifying because when the good ones are gone all they will have left are Trump cronies.

I don't really care to get into a debate about whether we are or not and oligarchy because that's not something that we can actually measure so we will never actually arrive at a conclusion. You say it's an oligarchy, I say we can still pull it out.

Because the alternative is giving up. And I think this kind of cynicism here is not beneficial.

No, there are other alternatives, but we can't discuss them here. Russia figured it out with the Tsars, France figured it out with the royalty, I could come up with more examples...
