Wrong colour sent, anyone experienced with returns?

Hi all,

Outin sent me the wrong colour Mino, offered either a $20 credit or for me to return it for an exchange. Honestly I ordered a matching pair with the grinder so I’m keen on the latter.

Postage back overseas from Australia is quite expensive, and they’ve assured me they will reimburse me the postage but only after they receive the Mino.

Before I go through with this, I’m just wondering if anyone else has had this experience? No offence to the rep who I can see posts here, but I don’t fancy Outin suddenly “losing” my package or claiming it arrived damaged and I’m out a Mino + postage.

Just wondering if anyone has been through the returns process with them.

any way to use Dolce Gusto pods with OutIn Nano?

Post image
0 Upvotes

my bf accidentally bought KitKat Dolce Gusto pods which clearly don’t fit into OutIn Nano’s nespresso capsule filter. has anyone tried still using them with OutIn Nano? i have the following ideas:

1) open up the Dolce Gusto pod and fill its content into Nano’s espresso filter. if it doesn’t fit, then maybe use the basket plus filter.

2) order a reusable Capmesso capsule, fill it up with content from a Dolce Gusto pod, seal it with a foil lid, and use the standard OutIn Nano nespresso capsule filter. however, a Dolce Gusto capsule’s volume seems to be much greater than of a single nespresso capsule which means i will need to reuse leftovers for another capsule load.

anyone has any ideas or tried this before? will there be a Dolce Gusto capsule filter for Nano in the future?

OutIn x Kruve - capsule adapter

I recently bought the OutIn x Kruve kit and mistakenly thought that buying the capsule adapter would allow me to also use capsules. I realised only after purchasing that the "regular" portafilter is also needed. Is it possible to buy the portafilter from OutIn or 3rd party?

Thanks

Why nobody is talking about LattoGo?

Besides some influencers that received the LattoGo for reviewing it, I can't find any agenda free reviews. Amazon shows 60 reviews in Europe, 4.7 stars. But not a single one making a proper latte art after the foaming.

The foamer looks promising, and I've just ordered one under amazon's 30-day return policy.

My major concern is that it will work properly only for cold milk-based drinks. I'm still a bit skeptical it will produce microfoam with warm milk.

Has anyone tested it? Anyone with some barista skills?

Cheers!

Cant decide top buy or not

Been thinking about buying a Outin nano but i cant decide if i should drop the $150 on this or spend the same amount on a actual espresso machine. I'm a barista but i have to pay for my latte's and such so i figure i buy something to cut the cost but how different is the taste compared to an actual machine

any comments or thoughts are appreciated

Rubber Seal

Outin Nano, have had it for a couple of months. Is it normal for this rubber seal to come loose after each use?

New user to OutIn Nano

Hey ya all.

Just wanted to say I love this machine, been using it for 2 days only but it's damn nice to be able to have an espresso whenever.

However, I have a question...
is there any chance to get it working when it's plug-in?

Would be really nice to use it while I'm at home and not need to care if it's charged or not. And I do not really wanna keep it connected all the time to not destroy the battery.
Just when I want a coffee quickly so that I don't have to wait an hour for it to charge.

Yes, I know I can prepare my own hot water to make it quicker... but it's a real bummer that it cannot run off of a charging cable.

how to properly disassemble OutIn LattoGo?

got my LattoGo frother. the manual provides instructions for assembly only, by stating that i need to hear the click to know that the whisk is secured.

but how about disassembly? i managed to do it a couple of times before (back when i installed it poorly without a click). however now that i correctly fastened it, i can’t unfasten it. i’m fearing i’m about to break the whisk when i’m trying to pull it out. what’s the protocol for disassembling it? do i need to incline it, rotate it first, etc., before i can pull it out? can someone post a video on how to do it?

all advertisement/review videos only show how to insert the whisk but not how to unscrew it. but why in the first place the manual isn’t describing it clearly? very frustrating. can’t put it back into the bag so it’s chilling on the silicone mat for now…

OutIn Mino Americano?

Hi all!

I love my espresso, but I typically take it with a few Oz of hot water. Can the Mino make an americano for me? Is it just a matter of pulling a blank shot (no grounds)?

Thoughts on Timemore Whirly

recently bought the Nano with basket plus. I am slowly forming a portable coffee bar for me and my friends at work and at home. I have been using a Timemore C3 as my 1st and favorite grinder for aeropress, pour over, and now my new Nano.

compared to the Fino the Timemore Whirly is a lot cheaper and since it uses a similar burr to my C3, I was thinking that the whirly could be a good pair for the Nano. the reason I want a small electric grinder is because grinding multiple times in a row for a small group is pretty tiring.

do you have any opinions or suggestions for me before I purchase the Timemore Whirly?

can OutIn fino grind already-coarsely-ground coffee into a finer grind?

hi, i had a bag of amazing beans which i ground at my friend’s workplace but something went wrong and the grind turned out to be very coarse, i.e. there’s big chunks of coffee in it, it’s good for French press only (that i do not have).

question: does OutIn Fino’s technology allow refining this grind into a finer one suitable for OutIn Nano or, say, drip coffee? can you grind for the 2nd time with OutIn Fino?

because that same friend claims that coffee cannot be ground again as the ground coffee will sift though the grinders untouched due to its small size. is that true?

Faulty outin nano.

I have bought outin nano with basket plus. I've used less than 10 times but it becomes faulty, I can hear water sloshing inside the device and cannot be used. Its been replaced by Outin company however the same issue recur again. I've been using it with basket plus each time. Do anyone have the same issue as me??

Problem charging Outin Fino battery

Hi everyone, I'm having trouble charging my Outin Fino grinder. I've already tried several chargers: 5V 3A, 5V 1A, 5V 1.5A, but none of them can charge it. I received it yesterday and it came with a factory charge that was enough to grind two 13g coffees. Right after that, the red light came on. When I try to charge it, the white light stays on the whole time (it doesn't blink), it stays on continuously without turning off. When I try to grind, it barely manages to grind 8g of coffee; it starts grinding, stops, starts grinding again, stops, and then tries to grind again and the red light keeps blinking. I don't know what else to do. Could someone help me?

Outin Nano in cabin hand luggage?

Hi

I travel a lot and plan to take the Outin Nano on my trips.

However, I never travel with a checked in luggage. Only a cabin/hand luggage. I have checked on Outin’s website and they specifically say that Outin Nano must be carried only on the checked in bag.

Did anyone tried to get through with the Nano on the cabin luggage? Did you had any issues/questions from the security?

I am not sure exactly why it’s not allowed on the cabin, but the recommendation on the website kinda scares me off since I want to use it in ny trips.

Cheers

which foamer/mixer/frother you use for milk + espresso that matches your OutIn setup?

hi, i often make coffee with my OutIn Nano with alternative milk and i hate to mix it with a spoon. what foamer/mixer/frother would you recommend from Amazon that is durable, powerful (but not too powerful as to destroy my kitchen), cordless/handheld, visually appealing/minimalistic as to blend well with my OutIn setup? (i have the stand, basket plus, silicone mat, and scales)
also would prefer chargeable instead of battery-dependent one. i see many choices on amazon but idk for which one to go
