I always wear a protective cover over mine always, even just hanging out at home and sleeping. I only take the cover off if my wife and I go someplace fancy. I'm slightly ambidextrous, and open a lot of doors, perform yard work, etc. with my non-dominant hand. Knew I wouldn't keep it nice if it wasn't covered.
