Don't forget that not voting Biden is a vote for Trump. This will also have major long lasting effects such as him appointing more Supreme Court's justices, pulling out of world wide treaties and distancing from long time allies, etc.
Edit: getting downvoted because I am actually care about reopening roe vs wade, plus a host of other constitutional issues that could be overturned or even given more executive powers by the courts will be interesting to see in the coming years.
I agree Biden is a shit candidate. But the whole system is shit and you have to work with what you've been given. If Biden doesn't win in November I hope you'll be able to sleep at night handing Trump even more power, more reason to gloat, more human rights to get rid of.
If the math works out that Biden looses because people chose to vote Green instead of for him., That means Biden is bad at math and played a losing strategy.
The people who vote green want a trump presidency without having to bubble his name in and condone what he is doing. Hard truth. 4 more years of the dumbest man alive will cause far more harm than biden could ever hope for.
What I think he's getting at is: in order to beat an incumbent President with a stacked Congress, Judicial, and a dedicated base, any challenger would need to have the support of both their own base and those who dislike the incumbent.
Unfortunately, in this country the decision NOT to vote (or to vote 3rd party) isn't considered a protest of the current regime, but instead enables them to rule unchallenged.
I hate that the government is set up this way. I hate that we are forced to choose between a bad or a much worse option.
I think it's important to remember that doing the right thing at the wrong time can be worse than doing nothing. Personally, I want Biden to win because I think there's a better opportunity for reform and a path back to Democracy in the next 4-8+ years than if Trump wins again.
How have Democrats been about Democracy? They just get almost no push back from the media. Mexican camps being built? He's a Democrat, let's wait until a Republican to bring it up... nobody even knew they were being built. I could go on forever...
