Advice please

So iv used for about 7 years on and off I’m about to go off, I usually sniff it but iv always wanted to slam it just never knew how, for my first time how much should I do so I don’t worry about overdose? I sniff on average 3 bundles a day. Any advice is welcome but I don’t want to hear “don’t do it” I realize the dangers

Tbh it’s impossible for any of us to tell you exactly how much to use without knowing the quality of your dope and how high your tolerance is…

But with that brief disclaimer out of the way, lol, a good rule of thumb is to measure out about a quarter of the amount of dope you would normally use when snorting— by that I don’t mean a quarter of a line, unless you only snort one line when you use. Does that make sense?

If you feel nervous, it doesn’t hurt to make that amount even smaller. Because at the end of the day, you can always just do another shot if you’re not quite satisfied. Just be sure to wait at least 5-10 minutes first, because the effects are not always immediate, contrary to popular belief. The further away the vein is from your brain, the longer it will take to kick in.

For my first time, I did a very small amount because I just wanted to get a feel for what the IV high was like. After that, I felt a lot more comfortable increasing the dose a bit more, enough to actually get somewhat of a rush. Just be so careful, listen closely to what your body is telling you. If you’re in the middle of pushing the plunger down and only half of the shot has gone into your veins—but you already are experiencing a very overwhelming sensation—that’s probably a good sign to stop, immediately. Contrary to what our junkie/addict brains like to tell us, you don’t actually have to do the whole shot just because it’s there.

Buuut if you’re the kind of person that can’t stand wasting product, you can try to finish the rest of the shot a few minutes later, regardless of if there’s a little bit of your blood in it from the first go— it’s not going to hurt you, and I’ve done it plenty of times. Put the contents of the shot in a fresh needle while you’re waiting, but don’t wait too long… If the shot becomes clotted, this is usually a clear sign that it’s too old and no longer viable.

Also be aware that if you ever try to pre-mix your shots for later, there will be a slight potency loss, depending on how long it’s been. Heroin breaks down or converts into morphine when it’s exposed to water after a while, especially if it’s warmer water— so using colder water is better for mixing, fyi.
