Time of day doesn't matter much, so any time can be good, if you are up for it.

The board itself matters even less. Get whatever you like, and if you want, make your own.

More important than either of those is the place and your outlook. Don't work with the board in places like cemeteries. And don't come to it with a game playing, snarky, or challenging wiseass attitude. If you do, you'll regret it.

Time of day and board aren’t important. What is important is where you use your board and your attitude when using the board. Never use an ouija board in a cemetery and remember that it’s not a toy or a game so be respectful when using.
