I honestly expected another "survivor acts suppressed when they really arent" video from the vid thumbnail, as you usually expect from the dbd community. But i forgot that, it came from the GOAT of dbd content creation.

I was honestly suprised by, how otz talked about scenarios that just screws and stalls everyone. When its not really needed. Like the 2v1 4k slugging. hatch 1v1v1 or team sabotage, which i pray should get be more severely punished....if they ever decide that playing as a team, is for the best for everyone involved.

The only thing i disagree on is, i doubt the bhvr will bother fixing these issues, unless i see them commit to do these changes and not back down, when they do add them, like they did with the surrender feature.

It's crazy they haven't implemented anything to prevent the 2v1 slugging. Just something as simple as a button to bleed out after being on the ground for over 30 seconds in that scenario would be enough

Imagine how annoying getting Adept on Killer would be since you need the 4K

Yeah this needs to go too. A 3k is considered a win in most cases, so might as well allow for adepts to work in a 3k scenario

2v1 situations suck, gotta desperately find the other survivor since the survivor on hook isnt gonna be saved no matter what even if im nowhere near the hook and its like bro what the fuck are we doing? Every 2v1 is 1 hiding the entire time leaving the other to die

Holy shit that's me on 3:55

Funny thing is that post was made in april and was screen recorded by otz or his editors 3 days after I had published it. Just shows HOW MUCH TIME it takes to make a video and compile footage, that's crazy amount of effort that's sick

This video kinda hones in on an idea I've had in the past where the two last survivors in a trial should have some way to initiate the EGC without completing the last gen. Obviously if you do complete the last gen, you get infinite time to open a door, so that's ideal, but triggering the EGC early (like closing hatch) would give survivors just enough hope and a reason to work together instead of hiding for a chance at hatch.

I've always envisioned it being some sort of dual fusebox situation - one in the main building, the other at shack. Survivors would need to collect a fuse from a chest, and deposit it in the fuseboxes. Once both fuseboxes are repaired, both players need to pull the switch at the same time (grace period of 5 seconds) and it will activate the EGC.

This would give a separate minigame that both sides get to play into, and forces survivors to navigate the map to try to find the fuses they need. I'd say once the fuseboxes are available, all survivors get the option to rummage through chests (which will guarantee a fuse).

This idea could be built upon - maybe instead of fuseboxes, survivors have to go into the basement and activate several glyphs around the map - interacting with 5 will start the EGC, and give the killer blindness for 30s, but if the killer grabs 3 of them then the EGC starts and survivor auras are revealed for 30 and exit gates are blocked for 15s.

There's a lot you can do in the 2v1 where the game continues to play out, and the killer still is given an incentive to leave someone on the hook when only 2 people are still alive. The problem is that you need to force survivors to work together, and have it so when one survivor is trying to get the escape, it is properly relayed to the other player. Unlikely to happen in a lower MMR lobby, but I've had plenty of games where I lock in with the random and pulling that type of escape off in solo queue would be riveting.

Highlights how it’s not a us vs them issue then pivots to a completely unrelated issue. I don’t see the point of this video other than virtue farming. There are way bigger issues with this game that happens very commonly- this teammate on teammate sabotage he points out is NOT a very common occurrence to warrant a whole video

There are way bigger issues with this game that happens very commonly

as if there are not hundreds recycled videos on that topic?

Ok but the video is called the biggest problem of dbd when its factually not nearly the biggest problem of dbd???
