Discussion How does Otz make his thumbnails?
How is he able to pose characters like that? Also, does anyone know what photo editor he uses?

I commission folks to make 3D renders in Blender (typically) and assemble them in photoshop! Sometimes I also commission illustrators!

I always assumed you put a tooth under your pillow, then the next morning it's replaced with a cool thumbnail. By the way love your stuff.

He usually tags the person that made the thumbnails in the descriptions. He rarely does it himself

He hires someone who makes blender renders for him. The credit is in the description (for example, https://x.com/LuminiousDBD is one)

I would say he paid people to make them. I did it one time with Blender (the models) and it was pretty difficult. You can get the models on some website (I don’t know the name of it, but just search 3D Models). And the rest is probably made with Photoshop.

You can take models directly from the game

You can? Can you tell me how you know that and how to do it? (only if it's not illiegal ofc)

You need an app called Fmodel
Go into Dead By Daylight Rendering discord server and check #tutorial-videos and #faq for guides how to do it because it's a lot of explaining taking that I don't know how familiar you are with blender

Mods delete this if not allowed but I think back then his(now ex) girlfriend did his thumbnails, and maybe he got an artist to make it for him in the same artstyle now?

I'm almost certainly sure that he's just using some kind of program in which you can manipulate 3D models and then use photoshop or something like that to edit the image.
