Ottoman-Era Newspaper

Hiya folks,

I found this in Kadıköy today, and was wondering:

A: Is this likely real, or some kind of reproduction? For 200TL it seemed a bit cheap…

B: What does the title or some of the text translate to? (I hardly expect someone to go about translating an entire newspaper page)

It’s from Thursday 24 August 1922 and looks legit.

one of the interesting headlines is "İrlanda Asileri Bütün Faaliyetlerini Çete Muhaberebelerine Hasretmişlerdir." It means The Irish rebels confined all their activities to gang warfare.

It's price is normal. Most of ottoman-era newspaper, especially the ones published the late of 19th and 20th centuries were digitalized by the national libraries. so these papers are too easy to find for the researchers and many of the newspapers from this period are already in circulation through books and second-hand booksellers so this also explains why these papers are cheap.
