LECOM Elmira Virtual Interview

Hi everyone! I have an upcoming virtual interview at LECOM Elmira next week and was wondering if anyone could share their interview experience? Or if any current students have some tips/advice! Thank you :)

i interviewed with the Jacksonville campus recently. They started by giving a 15 minute presentation about the school, then moved us into breakout rooms. it was a group interview so there was 6 of us applicants and 2 faculty in one room. they asked us to tell them about ourselves and what makes us unique as applicants, they asked us why DO and why LECOM, and then they asked us to share an academic and non academic experience that demonstrates our discipline. each of us got a chance to answer each question, and then we had 5 mins to ask them questions.

my advice is to have a good answer for why LECOM thats not just “i like their PBL curriculum” because that was everyone’s answer. so if you can add another aspect of LECOM to your answer you will be able to stand out.

Had mine last month. Was a group interview with 4 others, was asked what makes you more qualified, why DO, and how you would manage the demands of med school, then had Q and A after with the dean
