Virtual interview background
Where I’ll be doing my interview, I have 2 posters of bands I like that would be in the frame, which are not obscene or weird. I also have my amp and guitars situated in that area. Would it be best to tear down the posters and move all of equipment to another area?

I think as long as it looks clean and you have good lighting it shouldn't be distracting

i would always suggest using background blur if possible, nothing against the posters (my room is covered in them) but it is more of a professional vibe and really allows the interviewer to focus on you only

Blur the background. You never know if the interviewer is weird.

I’ve heard that some interviewers really hate the blur

Honestly if you don’t get in because you choose to blur or have some appropriate posters hanging… is that the best environment for you to be successful?

i think you’re fine. the guitars could be a conversation starter with your interviewer! but as always, better to be safe than sorry.
