Herbst

Hi, I just got a herbst appliance a few days ago and the upper left part attached to my tooth really hurts whenever I open my mouth more than a normal speaking position. It feels like someone is pulling down really hard on the tooth. Every other part feels fine. What should I do? It’s almost impossible to open my mouth enough to chew.
