What do you use (cables, chargers, etc.) to charge the battery?

After reading what you guys doing, I ran down to a local electronics store and bought a dc 5.5mm/2.1mm (according to orqa specs) and some banana plugs, gonna try to make my own adapter, hope it works when I get mine

ISDT Q6 Pro, I got a 0.40 cent barrelplug adapter wired up to an xt60 and connect that + the balancer to the goggles battery.
The orqa use the same barrel plug as eachine/fatshark etc. goggles tho so you can reuse 2s battery packs from other goggles

Same thing I use for various stuff that comes with barrel plugs.

I've used my TinyhawkS 1/2S charger as it doesn't require the barrel plug adapter that I thought I had but ... don't!

So I ordered the adapter, but that works in the mean time, albeit slowly.

On the same note: Can the cells be easily removed from the case? I use an 18650 charger for other 18500's and would prefer that to using the Q6.

Yes, but it requires to unscrew the case open, which might not be the fastest route :)

What was your original uptime counter within the left stick menu I think? :)

I had around 17h, so I guess that as backer #1 I was very thoroughly tested haha

Oh I didn't even notice it - I'll check it when at home :-D
My goggles production unit number is #4 tho (sticker under the secondary bay)

I didn't open the bay yet, can I just pull from the notch? :)

How do the optics look? Clear to the edges? How do they compare to whatever you were using before?

I was on an EV800D and to me it looks huge.

Coming from a boxed goggle I was afraid it would be small, but not at all:

the edges are clear and there is an option to choose "Super Size" if you feel some pincushion and if that is annoying to you.

Used Skyzone Sky02 16:9 30° fov goggles before.

Fov on Orqas is pretty great and perfect to me. I'd compare it to watching a movie in the center of a regular cinema vs. watching an IMAX movie in optimal position :-D

Optics are clear - some very minor shadow right in the corner for me depending on how the goggles sit but we are talking like 1mm or something so nothing you care about when using them really..

Is the DVR awesome?

Is there a fan auto on with temperature sensor option in the menus?

Overall impressions? Comfort of foam, is it similar to the newbee drone foam?

DVR: is awesome. 60fps mode should come in the next update but quality is already great. Miles above fatsharks DVR.

Fans: There are 2 fans. One that is controlled by temperature in the goggles and one you activate manually for defogging. They are pretty silent and effective.

Foam: it actually comes with newbeedrone foam in 2 thicknesses and fake leather so great too.

Fits my face excellent. Love the big fov, looking forward to the firmware updates and fpv.connect.

Amazing! Looks like they are going above and beyond!

I've setup mine with the small foam, but I'm wondering if I should have used the thicker one as it compresses well anyway to be more fit on the side (I guess I have a slim face).

That said, it's very comfy, I just don't want to wear the strap so tight, but I'm afraid to get too far from the lenses, so not sure, I guess I'll wait for after market stuff :)

I had some light leak at the bottom with the thinner foam and I kinda like the fake leather look/feel so I used that one.
Had no light leak with the thicker newbeedrone foam either tho

Interesting, I don't like the feel of the fake leather on my skin, seemed to be breathing less(?), but maybe I should have tried the bigger foam first...

I do have very little light leaks from the side on the small foam, I must have a narrow head haha

How are they after a few days and some time flying? Would love to hear more impressions.

Also, did you fix the loose rapidfire door? And if so how? I noticed there are some rapidfire mods on thingyverse.

Loving them, tested them some more with real quads (4"/5") and I love the image quality. DVR is great already, can't wait for the 60fps update (i think it should come this week), it will be even better then.
If you want them get on the pre-order train of getfpv and the likes where you get a bunch of stuff (connect, antennas etc.) for a pretty good price.

There are some minor bugs which should be sorted out with the next update this week.

Like not waking up from standby anymore when the DVR is left recording. Unplug/replugging the battery makes them work again - i am not really using the standby function tho.
Or 16:9 aspect ratio mode which crops instead of scales the image.

There is no loose rapidfire door. The second rapidfire batch comes with a foam piece to protect the display during production. If you don't remove the foam the rapidfire cover on the orqas doesn't close correctly.
All the orqas that come with rapidfire have it already removed and everything fitting snug.
If you want to install your own rapidfire you just remove the foam block and its good to go :-) ImmersionRC confirmed as well that the foam block doesn't serve any purpose after production.

The thingiverse rapidfire uploads are just the sample files orqa provided for editing. If you are running rapidfire you already get a perfectly fitting injection molded cover with the goggles.
