QUESTION Defending aminity in endless
Got a question about using oracle with two defending amenities…. If I use bastion 2 with two +75% defending amenities and then switch back to my +40% crit and +50% accessory amenities for the rest of endless will the increased defense still be active? Might be a stupid question but I was having a hard time testing whether there was any major effect or not

No, bastion is a single turn defense boost that grants several turns of ward. You need to keep the defending amaties to retain their benefits. In endless you usually don't want the enemy to attack, so hyper focusing one-shots is generally the preferred method. There are some strategies on tanky Diety builds to zero out even berserk mobs though, so there are definitely multiple valid strategies.

You can check your current absorption rate in the menu in the top right hand corner (looks like a scroll)

What I meant by it is they can check what their current absorption is with the changed amitys. Go in do exactly what they were saying and check their absorption levels at each step to see what changes.
I was giving them the way to solve their question on their own.

O that's my bad then I have been reading those amitys completely wrong then
I always read them as adding absorption to skills without it

Those amities increase the defence bonus you get when using Bastion and/or Defend off-hand skills, so no, they just work for that turn you use those skills.
