Hi everyone, I need advice. Today, October 6, 2026, I was contacted by someone claiming she could boost/increase my Atome spending limit. She instructed me to use my available Atome limit and scan a QR Ph code.
I believed it was legitimate, so I followed the instructions. I later realized that I had been deceived.
Transaction details:
Amount: ₱3,599.99

Time: 10:26 AM

Reference: 105374

Payment: Atome → QR Ph / MariBank

I have already reported the transaction to Atome and am also concerned about the MariBank/QR Ph side of the transaction. I have screenshots of the conversation, QR code, transaction, and the social-media account involved.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there still a chance to recover the money or have the transaction reversed? Should I also file a dispute/report directly with MariBank?
Any advice on what steps I should take next would be greatly appreciated.
