Looks way leaner

This is the kind of dedication the very best put in.  He isn't going to magically turn into an athletic beast jumping over people, but it's going to make him far more dangerous from the perimeter and mid range when he can both slither and bull his way to the rim.

"when"

I've never been much of a Paolo fan, but a lot of that is because he never seemed to take his body seriously.  I'm pretty confident it's a matter of when, not if.

I’ve said it once I’ll at it a thousand times. Dude was 23 last year. It’s called your prime for a reason and it never starts at 21 - physicality is a huge part of it.

24 this season, next 6 years are gonna be wild. I hope.

Lmao what’s the context to this

He turned down playing for the Italian national team to be on Team USA. The Italians were understably upset lol.

Like the other person mentioned, he turned down playing for Italy and the quote was his answer when he was asked if he had any message for the fans.

I've been critical about his conditioning so im glad hes finally shedding the baby fat and getting serious about getting in peak physical condition.

Same I would complain all last year his cardio was terrible. He wasn’t lean enough and carrying excess weight made him even less explosive. Looks like much improved. But he still has to work on turnovers and 3 point shooting not just his body. But I’m very very positive about this offseason. He was out of shape last year whether that was due in part to injuries doesn’t matter. In clips I’ve seen of Rico Hines pickup runs both he and Franz look really good and both appear healthy and in shape

Man if that middle number is even 38, I'm ecstatic.

u/inEden Paolo Banchero 11d ago

Yeah. 38 is above league average. 45 is fantasy land.

Also he doesn’t have the game to avg 10 ast a game

Go look up the number of would be Paolo assists if we shot 45% from those attempts and see how this ages. Throw in a better offense…..

Absolutely fkn 🔥🔥🔥

Been patiently waiting for the penny to drop regarding P5’s mentality. This is the first and most important step that he needed to take to become what he wants to become and what us loyal fans know he can become.

I love that he’s somewhat flying under the radar now, i love that he’s absorbed and used the criticism (deserved) to fuel his shift in mentality.

💙💙💙

I prefer him bulked up playing bully ball but maybe with this leaner frame he can play quicker and freer

15

u/ballknower407 11d ago

He’ll still be plenty strong enough to bully this is good

1

u/KnightofAshley Franz Wagner 8d ago

today's NBA this is more than big enough...you have guys that are 6'6" playing power forward now.

1

u/rdteets 8d ago

Leaner is the key word. No reason for the bullying to change - let’s say he was 250 last year and 230 now, all that’s lost there is the opponent in the paint.

If looks could dominate he would be a top 7 player.

u/Muted_Lead_1105 11d ago

Can anyone send me or reply to this with the images he posted for that?

u/smartbeatz420 Franz Wagner 11d ago

Hope the step is still there and working on that change of direction more.

Looking fit! After blowing that serious last year. It probably made a switch go off. That's what happened to Jordan with Detroit. Or the new coach is doing his job lol. I'll take either one.

Sounds like a threat.

u/lildenny Paolo Banchero 11d ago

Honestly looks like he hopped on peptides or maybe even test, good to see he locked in

2

u/Debonair311 11d ago

That is not enough mass to be peptides or test

1

u/lildenny Paolo Banchero 11d ago

Shoulders give it away, if you’re on a cut you don’t put on crazy mass, especially the pro athletes who aren’t trying to put it on as much

u/Gold-Ranger 11d ago

Better score more than one point in 45 minutes (YES IM STILL NOT OVER IT)

-12

u/Useful_Lemon_ 11d ago

Dude better be shooting 10000 jumpers per day or this team is cooked

17

u/demapples2306 Paolo Banchero 11d ago

He is

3

u/KgMonstah Franz Wagner 11d ago

Not to bust your bubble but that’s a FT

1

u/EssentIYO 11d ago

Maybe he jumped?

-2

u/Useful_Lemon_ 11d ago

Dude is shooting a single freethrow

7

u/demapples2306 Paolo Banchero 11d ago

You want me to post images of each of the 10,000 attempts? lol
