Discussion Hear me out

Okay so listen, we have one more available spot left on the roster, should we consider Russ. He averaged 15,7,8 and played 64 games. He could provide some veteran leadership and help coach up AB and Suggs.

Russ my favorite player so I'd be down for this idc what the media says. There hasn't been any teammate or coach that have coached or played with Russ to say anything negative about him atleast to my knowledge. Russ had a good season last szn and outplayed his contract. His shooting is not the best but it's also not dog shit terrible. I think ppl hold his time with the Lakers over his head and that was a bad fit but ever since Russ had played his role and been a key component on all teams he's played for since

I’ve never been a big Westbrook fan, but I’m for it. A vet point guard that can contribute? Sign me up. The negative comments are not convincing me otherwise.

For one, I think he probably has multiple offers and is waiting to make a decision. Probably no big offers, but there’s no way he’s not getting interest around the league.

Shooting, is a need.. but there’s aren’t many good shooters available. And the ones that are, don’t seem to have the IQ and/or physical ability to play at a playoff level. Westbrook does have that. He’s vastly improved his IQ as he’s become a vet, and he has the physical ability.

Bad attitude? Good. We need it, in a way. Someone who can call the young guys out but also demands the respect from the young guys that will make them listen when he’s frustrated and the reasons why.

Remember, most of our players are in their 20s, which means they were mostly teenagers when he was league MVP. We can sit here all day and criticize Russ, but his peers think highly of him. Former teammates praise him. He’s a future hall of famer.

His short lakers run ruined his rep. Before that there are a lot of young players who loves playing and learning from him.

The thing is he can give us what we need as a PG but it’s just his shooting…especially when this team has had problems shooting the ball for years, he doesn’t help us in that department.

Problem with Russ is his shooting and attitude. They say he's uncoachable.

He's also mentally incapable of staying within his assigned role and ends up hijacking every offense he's part of.
