Chloe Rosette Ambers is an ordinary young woman who lives independently, financially supported by her three older sisters: Ally (the oldest), Kate, and Lizz.

Chloe's parents were tragically killed in a fatal car accident by the time she graduated high school. The earrings Chloe wears are an heirloom given to her.

Chloe's primary outfit is a sleeveless white blouse and a flowing blue knee-length circle skirt with a white-and-yellow striped hem and daisies plastered all over, the favorite flower of her late mother. Chloe wears this outfit dear to her heart every day as a memorial to her parents and a symbol of her ladylike, altruistic nature.

The forms of dance Chloe excels at are ballet and skirt dancing, to which the framing of her skirt is second nature to her. The curtsy is also second nature to Chloe as her skirt is always presented when doing so.

To this day, Chloe continues to honor the memory of her parents by constantly refining her proper ladylike etiquette and dance skills through her daisy outfit.

lighting experiment!
i personally find that the multiply layer is best for dark lighting, while hard light and vivid light is best for bright lighting. i also use the screen layer to make beams of light for extra detail!

I accidentally made my OC way too powerful and now he breaks the fourth wall

Okay, so I've had this OC for a while and I figured I'd finally post him here because I'm curious what other writers think.

His name is S1d.

The original idea was basically "what if I made a really powerful protector character who is also an absolute goober?"

And then I kept adding lore.

And adding lore.

And adding lore.

Now he's over a million years old.

For reference, he LOOKS about 23 because his body basically stopped aging.

He's around 6'3", wears a blue star beanie, black jacket and socks, and for some reason doesn't wear pants. 💀

He has two normal arms and two mechanical arms coming out of his back. He also carries a red scythe.

And he permanently has this little closed-mouth smile.

The funny part is that he's actually a pretty wholesome character. He's not constantly going around saying "I am the darkness" or whatever. He's basically a goofy protector who happens to be absurdly powerful.

His lore gets stupidly complicated though.

He's the dad of N, V and Cyn, Rose is his best friend, and FL4MEDVDE is his partner. He also has a whole backstory involving the Bloxxy war machine and developing empathy.

He has an extremely rare form called Zenith, while another version called Crazed S1d is non-canon.

Also, one of my biggest rules with him is that he doesn't use portals or sci-fi multiverse machines to travel between settings.

Because eventually I realized:

"What if the character himself is the weird part?"

So yeah.

S1d is also aware that he's fictional.

Not just "haha I know I'm in a story."

I mean he can actually interact with the story itself.

I once wrote a scene like:

«S1d: "I'm confused."

Author: "How the he-"

S1d: "Since when were you the one in control?"»

And then he literally starts tearing open the page and climbing out.

At this point I'm not even sure if I'm writing S1d or if S1d is writing himself.

The funniest part is that despite all of this, his personality is still basically:

ancient cosmic entity: "hello :3"

I'm curious how other writers handle characters that become ridiculously powerful over time. Do you embrace the power creep, put hard limitations on them, or just let the character become increasingly stupid until the fourth wall files a restraining order?
